Are you searching for a language course to discover a new language or to brush up your skills in an existing one? At ADDL we offer Italian lessons at our office in La Rochelle, in Bordeaux, Nantes and across all of France.
WHY TAKE LESSONS IN ITALIAN
Why take lessons in Italian? Apart from the fact that Italy is one of our bordering countries, there are many good reasons for learning this culturally rich language.
Many consider Italian to be the language of beauty and romance and its popularity across the world is due to its melodious intonations, those wonderful, neverending rolling ‘r’s and of course the expressive body language which goes with the spoken word.
Italian is, naturally, the official language of Italy, but also of Switzerland, Vatican City, Malta and certain areas of Croatia and Slovenia.
If you are not yet convinced you to want to learn Italian, here are a few good reasons to enrol on a course in Italian.
Taking a course in Italian for work
Whereas Spanish and English are important languages to know for work – even here in France, taking Italian lessons will add a valuable plus to your CV, depending on your career path. If you live anywhere near the Franco Italian border, this asset will carry even more weight and could mean the vital difference to your job prospects.
The Franco Italian border stretches over no less than 515 kilometres and includes many highly desirable tourist destinations, such as Haute-Savoie (for the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc area, for example), Savoie, the higher Alps region Hautes-Alpes, the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Alpes Maritimes region.
If you are proficient in this language and actively seeking employment in the tourism industry, you will have a wide range of jobs to choose from.
Learning Italian for everyday life
Why not learn Italian for day to day living? For the richness this language has to offer. It is no secret that Italian is generally considered the language of art and culture.
The language of Dante is reputedly steeped in culture through art, music, great literature, cuisine and wine!
Taking a course in Italian will also let you develop your relationship with a neighbouring country of France. But you could equally wish to learn Italian just for the pleasure of being able to speak it!
